I've been playing with the toolchest and in most cases it's a time saver. I have screens in my toolchest that I would like to cut-copy-steal into my new project. I've played with the drag and drop method two ways. One: Don't hold any special keys down and you get a screen with a bunch of alias varibles, which I think makes a mess. Two: If I hold the CTRL key down, I get asked what I want to do with my varibles. If a varible doesn't exisit in my new program, it creates this varible for the screen I just grabbed from the toolchest. What i would LOVE to be able to do is grab all the graphics from the toolchest but leave all the varible fields blank. I want to go back through them and fill them in with the new varibles from the new project. Is there any way to do this?

Almost but you need to plan ahead and not ALL of the fields will be blank. To make this work you need to build your 'original' screens that you drug into the 'Toolchest' with 'Names' but without 'Addresses'. I have not tried to do this without names.

I agree with chako. It is a real pain. You have to be carefull and create your screens and drag them over. Then delete all of the tags for each item, then delete unused. Tag database manipulation is a major problem with PME. It is getting better but still is not there yet. Planning ahead is not always practical unless you do the same thing every time. Which I don't. I pull from jobs that either I had done before or another person has done. I would like them to fix the reporting function. It was working now it is broken again. Illegible reports make it hard to submitt screens to customer.
