Chris Elston Posted November 10, 2006 Report Posted November 10, 2006 I went to the Trans-Siberian Orchestra concert last night, man was it an awesome display of lights, lasers, and pyro. I've seen moving robotic lights before, but I have never seen the whole entire light rig (trusses) move on robotic/servo controlled winches. Amazing concert!
TimWilborne Posted November 11, 2006 Report Posted November 11, 2006 There are a few date near me. Might try to go. They have a great website http://www.trans-siberian.com/
Chris Elston Posted November 11, 2006 Author Report Posted November 11, 2006 It's worth EVERY PENNY...Do yourself a favor and go. You'll be amazed.
TConnolly Posted November 11, 2006 Report Posted November 11, 2006 (edited) Thanks Chako. I see they are coming to my town. I'm getting tickets. Some music and video samples here: http://www.trans-siberian.com/ (edit: Rats, I see Tim beat me to the link.) Edited November 11, 2006 by Alaric
panic mode Posted November 11, 2006 Report Posted November 11, 2006 awsome... have to look for tickets...
Chris Elston Posted November 11, 2006 Author Report Posted November 11, 2006 I uploaded some videos here: I didn't see on my ticket I couldn't record video at the concert. LOL
panic mode Posted November 30, 2006 Report Posted November 30, 2006 been there, done that, it was ok... i didn't like long boring angel recitals and church music that the concetr started with (and still came on occasion later on) but it warmed up just in time (i stayed long enough to see fun parts too...). i didn't quite enjoy the live performance on my favourite piece (the house clip sounds way better) and at the end they just teased audience with short snippets of various goodies but they wouldn't finish them, just a 5 sec to get the drool...(shame!) audio was much better than what i remembered on few other concerts, light show was impressive, some of the it was even too much (burning retinas through closed eyelids, not recommended for epileptics), pyro was very nice and colorfull, we really felt the heat on our skin. this also quickly filled the arena with smoke but they kept this part for the finals anyway. overall it was interesting to see but i would be much happier if they cut out the slowest pieces and the recitals.
Bob O Posted November 30, 2006 Report Posted November 30, 2006 The wife and I went a couple of weeks ago and I thought the sound bytes on the radio was what the concert was all about but I assumed and I was wrong. I didn’t care much for the first half with the story telling that you really couldn’t understand his words half of the time and that set my stage of being tired and kind of bored for the second half but the wife enjoyed most of it and that’s all that matters.
Chris Elston Posted December 1, 2006 Author Report Posted December 1, 2006 I go for the LIGHTS...at my concert the sound wasn't good. But the lights are amazing!
