Looking for any information on communication to a GE Series 6 processor. Any help appreciated. Also, what will I need to program the unit (software, etc.). Don't have a lot of other information at this time. (CPU, etc). Familiar with the Series 5, 90-30, plc's. Thanks, bob

You program the Series Six with Logicmaster Six software. It probably won't run under any OS newer than Win 98. I keep an old DOS computer around just for apps like that. There are two versions off LM6, one for parallel communications with the PLC, the other for serial communications. The parallel version requires an interface card in the PC, so unless you already have one, you will probably need the serial version. The serial version requires a communications module in the Series Six. The PLC interface card goes in slot 5 or 6 of the CPU rack. If you don't already have the software or the proper interface, it might make more sense to try to find an integrator in your area who does, especially if you only need to make some minor changes or if you just want to upload the program prior to converting to a newer PLC.
