Captinjon Posted December 5, 2006 Report Posted December 5, 2006 Hi all, Where i work we have 20 Honeywell frequency drives all conected by profibus to a Siemens S7-300 PLC. My question is how do i, if i can, pull infomation from the drives into the PLC? Many thanks in advance.
Crossbow Posted December 6, 2006 Report Posted December 6, 2006 Look in the manual for the Honeywell device, it should give you a list of the data it is sharing onto the network. Or where the data is in the device so you can go read it from the CPU.
varlux Posted December 8, 2006 Report Posted December 8, 2006 I remember that all drives (connected by Profibus) follow the same profile: PROFIDRIVE. It's sure, your drive's documentation contain all information. Ciao
iic_hyd Posted December 25, 2006 Report Posted December 25, 2006 Hi, It is very easy to connect all of your drives in profibus network, first get the GSD files from Honeywell and update in the S7 catgalogue and then install profibus network in the hardware configuration and assign node and data addresses, you will be able to read and write all parameters. Regards N.Subrahmanyam
ChanThien Posted December 28, 2006 Report Posted December 28, 2006 (edited) i recommend you install physical connection and set up parameter carefully . i hope you will be successful Edited December 28, 2006 by ChanThien
