hi i want to setup my plc through CPU ethernet only and i want the communication to be done without the modbus tcp module can it be done without using the opc server, i dont want to use the opc server. My CPU PLC ip is 192.168.1.30 and my PC ip is 192.168.1.240. i am using GX works 2 can you guys let me know the procedure on how can i implement the ladder code and see the outputs on modsim 32 or modscan 32. it would be a huge help . as I have created a ladder logic simple code for understanding the concept of how it works i have a simple start stop normally open and normally closed contact and a coil . I want this to be implemented via the cpu ethernet modbus only. Can you let me know all the steps please?

Hi all , I have been using MELSEC - Q series plc for the past two project i dont find any issue with that but for the third project used same PLC same model but there is issue which I found unable to resolve The issue is when i try to communicate PLC using LAN cable by direct ethernet connection it works normally but by communicating using HUB network I cannot communicate, I checked all the parameters setting, I dont know what is the issue even contacted mitshubshi service to troubleshoot but they are not responding So here i am for your guidence to solve this issue see the images below to analyse this issue This connection is direct ethernet connection which works normally The parameters are set and writed to PLC The IP is set to my PC for communication When i try to find the cpu in the network it shows the cpu IP After that I checked for connection Test it show error I have also attached the Network route which i used to communicate Network Drawing.pdf I hope someone will help me to solve this issue Thank you , madhan ravichandran

Hi there! Today a CP1E-E10DR-D suddenly stopped working. RUN led was off and I couldn't connect to it via USB getting this error: "Selected port does not exist. Select proper port number from Change PLC dialog and press OK button", and automatic online function didn't work as well(it's not a cable/driver problem since I successfully connected to a CJ2 CPU using same cable and PC). Since I also tried to connect with the CPU outside the control cabinet with no success, I asume there is something wrong at hardware level. My question is, have you ever faced something like this? My plan is to try to revive it somehow (maybe trying to locate any defective component in the PCBs or something). So I was just wondering if you have any advice in order to achieve it. Thanks in advance!

i have pilz plc (pss 3066 saftey controller). i tried to search for the software of this plc but i don't find any info. about this plc because it is old. so please can anyone give me software program of this plc to connect from my pc ?and any manual about this plc ? thank you in advance

We have an install base of about 120 TWIDO PLCs anywhere from 1 to 10 years old with varying configurations, but all using the TWDLCAE40DRF base unit. Lately (over the past couple of years), we've had multiple instances where upon power being removed from the device, and then turned back on, the base unit fails and will not power back up. The typical case is that we turn on the power, a couple of LEDs flash for a brief (< 1 Sec) moment, and then nothing - unit is dead. Just wondering if anyone else has encountered the same thing.

Hello all, Require some urgent help on a project, apologies if poor explanation.... When CS1 CPU goes into stop mode in fault condition, eg fatal cycle time error, outputs retain in the state they were when CPU was stopped. In code we monitor CPU status and turn output high to pull in relay to indicate CPU status normal to wiring circuit. But if CPU goes into stop mode relay remains energise as code is not running to turn output off?? Therfore for examples conveyors keep running... How can we prevent this, can outputs be configured to go low if cpu stops? Any other ideas? Any help will be appreciate, thanks.

I have problem on CPU LC 503 show the FLT red light flashing and DH485 also flashing on RUN mode. I try rebooted toggling the key but still same. I pull out all modules to check for good seating. I remove the CPU battrie for 2 minutes but no progress. Any help please
