I am working with iQ-R PLC projects, and a lot of documentation is involved. I am trying to find a way to automate that, but I don't know how to get information out of the PLC project file in a way that I can parse and use to create the documentation. (Like tags, UDTs, AOIs, etc..). I was thinking they'd have something comparable to how with Allen-Bradley PLCs you can export to an xml file, but I have found nothing like that. Initially I just want to export to get info out of the project, but it would be nice to also be able to import to a project so I could programmatically create PLC projects. From what I've found, apparently EZSocket is MELCO's collection of APIs for stuff like this (That description could be wrong), but I've been unable to find actual documentation that would help in using it for this. I'm a young Controls Engineer at an integration company, and I need assistance. I have a client that has about 330 different alphanumeric product numbers broken down by length and width. The operator must be able to select the product number at the HMI to pass along to the robot we are integrating. Is there a way to be able to have the operator select the product number simply, without having to scroll over 300 items in a single control list. The HMI is not chosen yet, so it can be GE, Rockwell/AB, or Automation Direct, but we are using a AB ControlLogix Processor. Racking my brain and I have little VBA/Scripting experience. -
I am looking to export a recipe to an SD card. I know the recipe IAG has an export button but it requires a recipe control. I need to export the recipe using vb code from a page that does not have a recipe control.

Hi Guys! I have a problem with data collection. I use RS Logix 5000 software. I need to collect 11 int value. The sampling frequency is about 2 or 3 second. I tried to make an array but I faild, because I dont find what is correct for my task. I need about 5000 sample each of int value. Anybody have any idea about this problem ? If I have the datas then I have to exporting to an excel table . Thank you if anyone can help me. T

Hi all Does anyone know how or the Tool to use for Exporting Variables from Unity Pro so I can remove the Register base Addressing for Various Tags and insert Direct Addressing I/O to the Alias Of Attribute for those Variables? This then to be Imported back into the project with the New Aliasing in affect. I have spoken to Tech Support and they say there is a tool (Excel Add On) that comes with V11 in a directory called Extras. I cant find the directory lol. He is coming back to me about the tool but could not tell me if this tool will help with the Aliasing I need to do. Thanks in advance for any help or ideas on this. -
