Hello, I would like to transfer some registers between two PLC's. So far we use "Simple PLC Communication" found in "Navigation=>Parameter=>FX5UCPU=>Module Parameter=>EthernetPort=>Application Setting. Now, I need to change the IP address of the target PLC via HMI. Q1: Is there a way to influence the IP address of connections configured with this "system" dialog/config ? I just need to write the 4 octets. Because I found no method to do this, I decided to look in GXWorks3 built in "Element Selection=>Module FB =>FX5UCPU and using the M+FX5UCPU-EN_SLMP_DeviceRead_IP_00A FB. I found the documentation on page 33 of "MELSEC iQ-F FX5 Ethernet, EtherNet/IP, CC-Link IE Function Block Reference" But is not the correct one as I read in said manual: "Note that this reference does not describe the FB version information which is displayed such as "_00A" at the end of FB name." At least the "...00A" FB is mentioned one time in the manual on page 178. But uses no arrays as inputs just simple registers. (Main issue is the i_u2DeviceNo parameter) Q2: Is there a sample code using Simple CPU Communication on FB-level (00A Version, I have no other) between two FX5 CPU's? Because using M+FX5UCPU-EN_SLMP_DeviceRead_IP_00A is only the first step. Then error handling, connection start/stop/restart should be handled also. I searched on the Mitsu Website. But is is a mess to search there. Even when using "Programming examples" as filters tons of pdf's appear Thanks for hint/tips DWIM

Hi, I have the next question How can I use the M8000, H8192, or D8092 on my ladder programm, I know this devices are system special by the device but I need them cause a Modbus command needs it

Hello all, I have the need for PLC to calculate a giving time shift pattern, so if I start Monday 8am on a 24h prod basis, and the production run is 48h, the PLC should tell HMI finish time is Wednesday 8am, that is ok, the problem is, Production stops from Saturday 8 am, and starts again Monday 8am. Thus if I start prod run on Friday 8am, PLC should tell HMI (Got2000), production finish time should be Tuesday 8 am. I can read RTC, compare, do maths, but how can I miss or not take into account Saturdays from 8 am till Monday 8 am...that is my problem. Any thoughts, ideas, are all welcome. Thanks.

Hello gentlemen. I am working in a company that makes SCADA software, and needed to do reading/writing tests on MitsubishiPLC's, In this case I needed to do tests on FX2, FX3 and FX5. I saw that Mitsubishi makes available the GXWorks 3 software that is possible to do simulations of FX5 and FX5u in it, but I can't connect in any way to the PLC being simulated on the company network. I put the correct IP in the ModuleParameter\EthernetPort configurations, I write a simple read/write program in ladder, and I use Star Simulation, but when I try to ping the PLC, I can't find it, much less talk to it via VisualStudio . How can I connect this PLC that is being simulated in GX Works3 in an external program?

Hello all, I am new to using Mitsubishi and I am having issues communicating with my Cognex Camera. I have the camera configured in Datamn Setup Tool. I have the Ethernet card configured and validated. I am able to ping both devices and get a response on the network. However, I received an SLMP failure in Dataman and there's no communication between my camera and the controller. Please see the attached photos to view how I have the camera and PLC configured.

Hello! I am using servo motor (HG-KN13J), servo amplifier(MR-JE-10C) and PLC(FX5UC-32MT/DSS-TS). Using programs MR Configurator2 and Melsoft GX Works3. I am trying to make the servo motor go to a position, but it just doesn't turn. I checked if maybe the pulses are not going through the PLC, but with testing i saw that the PLC is outputting pulses. I a using position control mode and using CH3 on servo amplifier for high speed I/O. I tried using PLSY, DRVI, DRVA and DRVTBL, none of these blocks make the servo turn. Im thinking maybe there is something i have set wrong in MR Configurator2 or maybe I don't have high speed I/O set right. I checked all the datasheets, looked at tutorials for beginners and still didn't find a way to turn the servo motor. Maybe u guys can help me.

Hello, I have struggled with temperature control in FX5U based on emded PID. I set up allmost all parameters from manual and my problem is that output of my regulator increase from 0 to 40 and then reaching max. value. After that output is reseting and things going once again. The strengest thing is when my measured value is greater than preset value. In this case PID output has min and max and still want to increase temperature although he should stop. At the below I attache link to my program. Heaters are controlled by SSR output ,temperature sensor is thermocouple switch in to FX5-8AD input. Thanks for your help in advance !!! PID-Problem.rar p.s Regulator is inside TempControl POU

Hello, I have use case for my FX5U-32M PLC controller that has an analogue output module that is hooked up to a 10V trigger SSR heater. I want to use the PID function output (MV) to control power output of the SSR heater (0 - 100%). My measurement value (PV) is an analogue input from a temperature sensor between (0 - 400C). With a temperature set point somewhere between that. I figure that as long as I know the percentage power I need to use, I can use a pulse width modulation to trigger the SSR heater for the set amount of time each sample cycle. I think desired output for the MV would be at high deviation under the setpoint that my power output would be 100 percent while lowering when approaching setpoint. But what I don't understand is how I would either guarantee that the values for the MV stay within that range. Is it the case that I should just tune the PID to output sensible values but not worry too much if MV is in the 0-100 range and then anytime my MV is above 100 just output 100% on the SSR and vice versa for MV under 0? Or am I just approaching this the completely wrong way? Thank you in advance P.S Currently my PID function block has the Integral and differential actions set to 0. I am experimenting with the standard PID function block with the proportional gain to see the relationship between deviation from setpoint and the proportional gain, What I don't understand is why when my deviation from set point is 13, the proportional gain is set to 1000% then I am seeing an MV of 130, rather than 13000 is there something I am missing about what the proportional gain actually represents.

I was looking for what drivers that should be used when connecting the new FX5U plc with the older E-1000 series (E1100 in this case) in e-designer 7. Intended connection method is ethernet on the FX5 (obviously) to Ethernet on the E-panel. I am sure this question will come up for several users so let's keep this thread as clean as possible. Has anyone done this Before? Here are the options available: /Niklas

hello. I have developed project with 3 FX3U PLCs with ENET modules for communicating between them, and one of fx3u connected by profibus with 2 fx2n-32DP-IF I/O station (developed just hardware). This project still wait when customer accept it. I'm exactly sure that it will work perfectly. But now i think about exchange old and expensive fx3u to fx5u. I search for best solution for this task on fx5. I have a doubt with I/O station. Each remote station consist of 32 inputs,16 outputs, 8 AI. So i considered as a solution CC-Link IE Basic because no need buy additional modules. Did someone use fx5 CC-Link IEF Basic? As i understand ie field basic configurations like simple rs485 cc-link with occupied station, not like full ie field. FX5U can be the master of CC-link IEF basic with embedded ethernet with 6 slaves station and can be local station with FX5-CCLIEF module. But i not sure that i can use fx5 with NZ2 CC-Link IE Field Remote I/O. I have a doubt with configuration this station, because in CC-link IEF i can add this station and see how many rx/ry rww/rwr points i need, but for CC-link IEF basic configuration i can add just CC-link IEF basic module and choose number of occupied station. Slave 1) NZ2GFCE3-32D + NZ2EX2S1-16T (32/16) and NZ2GF2BN-60AD4 + NZ2EX2B-60AD4 (8 AI). Slave 2) NZ2GFCE3-32D + NZ2EX2S1-16T (32/16) and NZ2GF2BN-60AD4 + NZ2EX2B-60AD4 (8 AI). So can it work if not what device can be used with CC-link IEF basic? What benefits can give cc link ie field basic network than ethernet socket connection via UDP between 3 fx5 plcs? Or easier way using ST lite series and try to connect via modbus tcp.(as i understand fx5 provide p502 and modbus tcp)
