Hi, I plan to replace my current GOT1000 to GOT2000. I tried to open GOT1k program using GOT2k to proceed with auto convert but got error as below: "This project data cannot be opened with the security key registered in the PC". I can open program with GOT1000 without any issue. Any idea? Btw, is there any other way I can convert if I can open using GOT1000? Thanks.

Hey guys, I'm trying to get a Mitsubishi HMI (GOT2000) and an Allen Bradley PLC (micrologix 1500) to talk to each other. I want to be able to change the PRE. on the timers inside the program. However, GT Designer only takes AB native tags from ControlLogix and CompactLogix. Is there a way to do this by just using bit addresses? Or is there another way to go about this? Any help is greatly appreciated !!!

Hello Every body Peeps, I downloaded the GOT2000 comms manual where it describes how to connect to the D700 DIRECT on the PU port. I then placed the D700 template of the HMI from GT Designer 3 onto a GS2107WTBD. Parametized the drive, etc. In the template I changed the devices to match the station of my drive which is 1. i.e. on the template I had Device 0-0 SP122, for start forward, i then put my station no. 0-1 SP122, and that works. However, other than that, and the stop nothing else works, despite changing the station no. on devices, but I read in manual that if Pr 37 not 0 and SP127 = 1, then HMi cannot monitor SP109-111 which are devices used in my amps and speed setting, which they are not displaying on HMI. I can change Pr 37 to anything other than 0, but i have no idea how to change SP127, which description is Link parameter extended setting. Any ideas? Thanks.

Hello, I want to ask "is there any formula that shows how to calculate the HMI data logging retention time?" For example, I want to set Trend and Alarm data retention time to 1 month. So how to calculate and setup in GX work3 HMI Designer? If you have any related documents, please share. Thank you. Have a good day!

I've set up 20 or so of my alarms under the 'User Alarm Observation' section. I then added an 'Alarm Display (User)' object. Will this object display my alarms when they come in? I'm noticing an Alarm ID section in the 'Alarm Display (User)' object section. What is this Alarm ID for? Can the 'Alarm Display (User)' object only display one alarm? That doesn't seem to make any sense? How would I got about configuring this object so that it will show all my alarms as they come in? Thanks!

I have an application where I'm using GOT2000 to read data from the weighing unit using RS232 and I send this value to Omron CJ2M through Ethernet/IP. Some variables from that PLC are connected to the elements of the HMI. The problem is when writing the weight value to the PLC through script or Data Transfer is disabled, the RS232 reading works fine, it's fast, etc. However, when I enable the script which writes data to the PLC, the RS232 slows down by a lot, like it refreshes every 2-3 seconds. If i set the script to execute like every 1-2 seconds, it is working better (still slower compared to when the script is disabled) but I cannot leave it like this, because the weight is used to control some valves, pumps, etc. Enabling script doesn't slow down normal communication with PLC, because I tried to test it by displaying the value of seconds from PLC on the HMI and it refreshes every second. Does anyone have idea why such tiny script causes so many problems with RS232?

Hi! We have a GOT2000 HMI with a Q06UDVCPU system. During an investigation, I found that the address on the HMI (for example D10120) and the address in the PLC (D10020) are different. The value is the same, it appeared instantly during monitoring, but when I searched for it, didn't find it (I couldn't find the D10120 in GxWorks2, and couldn't find D10020 in GtDesigner3). The HMI's address is 100 higher. I never saw anything like that. Where is this difference can be set? Knowing this, I can navigate in the program..it's just annoying.

I have this setup: FX3G CPU connected to GT2103 through RS422 (CH1). GT2103's ethernet port connected to LAN and set up as modbus TCP slave (CH2). I want to read/write PLC word devices using a modbus TCP client, from a PC. The HMI is acting as a gateway between PLC and PC. I used the Device Data Transfer function to send PLC's D register values to GT's internal GD registers. D0....D9 ==> GD0....GD9 After some tries, I get valid response from the modbus slave. Reading the holding registers 0....9 (40001....40009), I get only zero values. Those registers can be written back with different values, correctly. I'm sure I didn't understand correctly the modbus address mapping to GT's internal memory. Can anybody help me? Thank you.

Hi All, and apologies for what is probably a proper newbie question. I have a Mitsubishi GOT2000 (GT2710) connected via DH485 to an Allen Bradley SLC500. Most of it works fine except for one base screen, which when opened doesn't get updated with any values. Opening any overlaying window screen will then causes the underlying base screen to then get populated. It's almost as though the first screen doesn't know where to get it's data from until the second screen is opened. As before I'm a beginner with this, so hopefully there is a simple setting that I haven't spotted. Thanks in advance for any advice.

Hi guys, im just looking for some help if possible, I am trying to setup a HMI (2107-wtsd) but GT Designer3 does not have this model nor does it have any 2107 models in the GOT type dropdown. How can i get my model to show? I have tried setting the GOT type as a G2105 and the GT softGOT2000 and these did not work, the HMI is on a white screen with install package data but i cannot do this if it is not in the GOT dropdown correct? I have attached some pictures to show. the HMI is connected to the PLC via ethernet and the laptop is connected to the HMI via usb I am very new to this so we are using test benches so if anything looks wrong i am very sorry

Hello Everyone I have an issue with a Got 2000, im updating and adding some screens in a old HMI application with size was about 47 MB, as im still updating i wanted to test the application which now sizes about 52 MBbut is not possible due to the shortage of ROM and RAM, what can I do in this case as the application must be in the built-in Flash memory which is very limited? Thank you in advance

Hi, Could anyone please help me to set a Counter SetValue on Omron CP1L PLC from Got2103 HMI. The Device register on Got2103 doesnt take registers such as D0, it takes DM0. But the 'CNT 001 DM0' instruction doesnt work in Omron PLC. So what should be the Device address on HMI and Counter Set Value register. I am new to both Omron and Mitsi Thank you

Hello, I am trying to create new pages on a pre-existing GOT. Within the GOT there is a screen that displays a list of part numbers to be selected. Like the image below; As of current, there are 10 pages with 10 part numbers in each page (Total = 100 part#). I want to create one more page for 10 more part numbers but I can't figure out how the pre-existing logic switches from page to another within the screen or how I would add more page to the GOT screen? Below is the ladder logic of how the screen switches from one page to another.

Hello everybody, I am facing an issue with my GOT HMIs Performance at the Moment. I hope somebody can assist me troubleshooting these performance issues. I am using GOT2310 and GT2107 simple. The performance issues are in different projects. When I am talking about performance issues I am specifically talking about a laggy behavior during operation of the GOT. I am looking for a way how to actually debug and troubleshoot the performance issue. How to figure out what is causing the laggy behavior? The 2310 HMI is actually quite busy I am doing quite some different things: DDTs are active Different loggings are active (one logging is logging every 100ms) Multiple layers Different scripts, some of the scripts are executed ordinary The screens are using multiple layers Access data directly not via a DDT I have a communication error, this error seems to be relatively unique and I will open a different topic for this. There is communication in both directions but I do get a system alarm “communication error” What is the good practice to start debugging / troubleshooting? Best regards

Hi guys, I have been trying to sync up my RSLogix 5000 tag to GT Designer 3 (GTD3) objects but I noticed that GTD3 only recognize certain native data types from Allen Bradley Logix5572 Controller (Model 1756-L72). In the documentation that I found, it show that certain AB Native Tags are transferable to GTD3 Data Type (See the attached file "AB Tags to GTD3 Tags" ) One of the User-Defined Data Type from the RSLogix 5000 that I am trying to sync to Text Display Object in GTD3 is called "UDT_MY_CLTR_INFO" here is it's hierarchy of inheritance from RSLogix 5000 Name Force Mask Data Type MY_CLTR_INFO (...) UDT_MY_CLTR_INFO MY_CLTR_INFO.NAME STRING MY_CLTR_INFO.NAME.LENGTH DINT MY_CLTR_INFO.NAME.DATA SINT[82] In my exported tag which is a CSV file, it doesn't list the sub-classes MY_CLTR_INFO.NAME, MY_CLTR_INFO.NAME.LENGTH, and MY_CLTR_INFO.NAME.DATA, it would only list MY_CLTR_INFO. How do I link up my "Text Display" Object in GTD3 with the tag "MY_CLTR_INFO.NAME" whose Data Type is STRING and GTD3 does not have a STRING Data Type? I appreciate anyone that took their time to read my problem and any attempt to help me out. Thank you.
