Hey so I Keep getting "PLC Response error" on the hmi I'm connecting a NB10W-TW01B hmi to a Omron Nx102-9020 Using ethernet 2. Using Sysmac Studio For the plc programming and NB-Designer for the HMI I have tried a bunch of "Fixes" and read the forums I could find but no succuss "Solutions" Tried 1. Changing IPs and Nodes 2. Change Ethernet port (In addition Aswell as separately to 1.) 3. Blank program with only Communcation setup 4. A few other things but nothing has solved Let me know what files or info you need if you would like to help me. Thanks for your time 🙂 :EDIT: I Changed back to port 2 and change the Ip address to 192.168.251.1 with the node of 1 for the plc and 192.168.251.2 with the node of 2 for the hmi in the NB-Designer Setting. And the error has resolved and the bit switch's have reappeared which i assume means a its able to read. Haven't been able to check if I have connection, ran out of time, Will update later.

Hello All, I am having issues currently with a specific piece of code. Simplified I have a button that is writing the time the button was pressed to a tag, then doing some synchronous work (I have unchecked async on all steps), then writing the time once the commands are finished. However, I always get the start time and end time to be the same value, even when I simplify the commands between them to a pause (see command 1 below) rather than actual commands. I have tried it with the commands and it still keeps the #4 and #5 the same. COMMAND 1: Set {#4} {system\DateAndTimeInteger} ;Pause 5;Set {#5} {system\DateAndTimeInteger} The result is that #4 and #5 are the same value. Even though I have a num display of {system\DateAndTimeInteger} on my screen I can see it incrementing every second. Why wouldn't the result show that #5 is 5 units higher than #4 when I ensure that all are being synchronously? Shouldn't it set #4, do the wait time, then set #5 to the new date/time integer after the 5-second wait time? On the Screen I have the Time Start as a numeric display, I can see that update before the "pause" and then I have the Time Stop as a numeric display. I see the start time change when I hit the button, then 5 seconds elapse, and then the stop time updates, but it updates to the same value as the start time. My ultimate goal, after alleviating this issue is to time how long it takes Factory Talk SE to write to the OPC then PLC, and then show the updated value. This is just a minor step that I cannot overcome. Thank you, Motozono

Dear Team, I need help to develop a control logic for high pressure water pump cascading system, this system will be used in hotel water supply system. There are total 3 Nos of Pumps and Panel consist 1 VFD. All pumps are connected to two parallel power contactors. One contactor gets direct power and one contactor got VFD output power. All pumps output is connected to common supply pipe which consist 1 Pressure transmitter. VFD-------Contactor K1--------PUMP1 MCB------Contactor K2--------PUMP1 VFD-------Contactor K3--------PUMP2 MCB------Contactor K4--------PUMP2 VFD-------Contactor K5--------PUMP3 Now come to logic part. - When the auto cycle starts, Contactor K1 and VFD are turned on. So pump 1 runs on vfd power and try to maintain the set pressure using PID. -If the pressure does not reach the set value in desired time, the contactor K1 will off, then contactor K2 will be turned on instantly. So the pump1 will be now work on full speed mode. -Now contactor K3 will be turned on, and pump 2 starts on VFD to maintain the set pressure using PID. --If the pressure does not reach the set value in desired time, the contactor K3 will off, then contactor K4 will be turned on instantly. So the pump1 and pump2 will be now work on full speed mode. -Now contactor K5 will be turned on, and pump 3 starts on VFD to maintain the set pressure using PID. If the pressure increases then the set point and VFD runs on 0 speed for set time, the reverse sequence will work. - If pressure remain high for some time and VFD at 0 speed then, contactor K5 and K4 will be off and contactor K3 will on. So pump 3 will stop and pump 2 will run on VFD to maintain pressure. This is basically a cascading system. Which should work on both direction. I am pretty clear about how the logic will be done, but I am not sure about how to manage the acceleration and de-acceleration time during switchover. If I am starting a new pump, VFD should start from 0Hz and if I am stopping the running pump and switchover to last pump then VFD should be moved with 50 Frequency. Please help if anyone have experience of such system.

I have a CJ2M which I have a NS10-TV01B-V2 HMI. I have many input fields that I need to enter specific text and numbers. But it covers the input when I try typing. Under the "String Display and Input" I selected "input from a popup screen", created a page, and added the keys to its own page and linked it to popup screen selection. How can I add a temporary field to see what we are typing?

Is there an easy way to display the contents of my HMI (Omron NS8 or Weintek HMI) on a large TV. TV will have HDMI and monitor input. PLC is Omron CJ2M-CPU31. If possible I would like to avoid the use of a PC, just copy the contents of my HMI to a TV.

Hi, I plan to replace my current GOT1000 to GOT2000. I tried to open GOT1k program using GOT2k to proceed with auto convert but got error as below: "This project data cannot be opened with the security key registered in the PC". I can open program with GOT1000 without any issue. Any idea? Btw, is there any other way I can convert if I can open using GOT1000? Thanks.

Hello everyone. I've been utilizing this forum for a while now, but this is my first time posting. I am very "green behind the gills" in the PLC programming world. I am learning as I go so please be patient with me. I have a display on my HMI that shows all of our PLCs in the field and what mode they are in. I am needing to also display the firmware revision that each PLC has. Is this possible to pull the firmware revision as a tag so I can display it on my HMI? I am using majority of 1769-L35E with a few micrologix 1400s. Thank you.

Who has experience with InoTouch HMI by Inovance. Can't get access to a System Tag - it is always 0 no reliable info provided. Maybe it is only with simulation - at the moment can't check project at a real panel...

Good day. I was informed about EoF the NS8 HMI's. I got couple old machines with those HMI's , but they still need to be supported. So I need to migrate with project in CX-Designer to other model. My question is - what else from OMRON can be used as replacement for this hardware (dimension, easy project convert)?

I needed to force upper case letters so that when the operator entered data into specific fields, the letters were always upper case. I created a custom popup keyboard window with buttons for letters and numbers and then added "Clear", "Save", and "Close" buttons to do just as they are called. It is working properly but it updates the field I clicked on and, with the popup window I cannot see what is getting entered. There are multiple different input string fields I am using. How can I see what I am typing on the keyboard screen and link to the appropriate field I am entering the data for. See screen shots. On the "Input Fields" image, the keyboard pops up when I click on the input boxes with the "xxxxxxx".

Hi, I was wondering if anyone has suggestions on how I could go about solving the following instruction that I'm trying to do. In my NA5-HMI, I have a bunch of recipes of the following: Recipe 1 with 6 ingredients and their respective values Recipe 2 with 6 ingredients and their respective values Recipe 3 etc... up to Recipe 8 (or X) Now one of the ingredient values is Duration (DINT) that gets converted to a TIME in the PLC. At runtime, the user selects which Recipe he/she wishes to start: let's say Recipe 6. After Recipe 6 runs for X-duration hours, the logic finishes and the objective now is to cycle through the remaining recipes down to 1 (ie the PLC will run through Recipe 6 -> 5 -> 4 -> 3 -> 2 -> 1 without operator manually loading the next recipe. My problem is that I haven't found any methods/workflow for accessing the next recipe (from the PLC side) to load the ingredient values into global memory variables that the PLC can access. Doe anyone have any suggestions/workflow that can do this? Or am I going at this in the wrong way? Thank you. Regards, RW.

Hello, I am creating a system where I need to implement a PDF report creator (basic information like “15” tags and at most an image). We may be using an Optix/PanelView or the FactoryTalk HMI. What is the best approach to this? Would a PLC be capable of this? If so, would it need a specific slice? If not, could I do this through the HMI or would I need to create a script that runs in the background on the PC?

Hi! I hope you could help me with the problem I've been having with this HMI. Usually I use the Instruction-based alarms (ALMD) in the program of my PLC Controller (ControlLogix 5580) to be able to send Alarm Messages to my View Designer Panel View. However, on this new HMI I'm getting the alarm trigger on the Panelview (I get the prompt on the Alarm Summary, and get the Alarm TAG of the ALMD Instruction associated with the alarm), but for some reason the Alarm Message is on blank. It´s the same for all the alarms on the controller. I checked again and the "Message" parameter of the ALMD is configurated, and even test just typing "a" as an Alarm Message to see if it was that the string was too long, but even with that the message didn't show up. Can you help me understand what I'm doing wrong?

Hi guys, I need to reset the HMI panel (GT16**-V) to factory settings. The closest I can get is to upload a blank project, but it's not it. Is there any way to do this?

Currently updating an HMI from CX-Designer to Sysmac Studios. CX-Designer UI has String Display & Input which allows user to input a new value via keypad, and also displays user specified message for confirmation (Yes or No option / or Message String ). In Sysmac String Display & Input are seperated into 2 different button types. Data Display (Displays Variable Value only, no keypad/input option) & Data Edit (Displays variable value, has keypad/input option). Im looking to click on the DataEdit (or w/e works) , input a value, have a user specified message display. If I click yes, a keypad will show to input the new value, and if I click No it will not input anything. So far I have used a DataEdit button, have my plc tag 'HMI.HMI_Shift1_String' mapped to Global Events to Display my popup message so when I click on the button the keypad first popsup, I enter the value, and press enter, It then displays my popup screen. However when I click "NO" it still submits the value I dont want entered in the DataEdit button. How do I get this "NO" button on my popup to work correctly and not input anything that was registered into the Keypad when pressed and my "YES" Button to register whats in the keypad? NO is currently not connected to any variables so of course it won't close anything. But wondering how I can go about this to configure correctly.

hello everyone, I want to ask this setting. If I check this check box, what will happen to the program that I input into the HMI? can someone give me examples for not allow upload and not allow decompile?
