Hi, I have a screen developed for supervisor access only but I would like to have an area to type in a password, and when the password is typed in correctly I'd like it to open a certain page. I'm not experienced with interactive text boxes or keypads etc. Is someone able to help me out determine what I need to do? Thanks

Hi guys, my site uses mainly Mitsi PLC's & HMI's so not familiar with AllenBradley but i have two Micrologixe 1200 PLC's connected to Panelview 300 HMI's. The machines are twenty plus years old and now both HMI's are barely legible as the screens are so dim. I want to upgrade the HMI's as they are obsolete but my problem is, the program within the PLC is Password Protected and i cannot read, upload or download to the PLC. The original manufacturer has been taken over some years ago and no-one knows the password. They have sent me an old program that could possibly work which is not password protected, but i cannot download it to the PLC without the original Password. Can anyone help me?

I have a customer that has a LS Master K PLC, and he needs me to make some changes to the program. I am not the original program writer so I do not have the original program nor the password. And the company that originally made this program does not exist anymore. Does anyone have any suggestions on a software or a device that can help me either find the password or just bypass it. I need help ASAP Please!!!!! I saw there is a password breaker while i was googling, but the software cost $50, and it looked a little sketchy so I am kind of hesitant to trust 1 purchasing the software and 2 downloading it only my work laptop. Please help!!

Good morning everybody, I am working on a project using Schneider M580 PLC. The PLC is connected on an Ethernet Switch and all connection from Unity to the PLC is made through the Ethernet network. My customer is asking me to demonstrate that the PLC connexion password traveling on the network is encrypted. Would any one of you be able to guide me to a document where this is explicitely said. I have being searching Unity help file, the M580 reference Manual, The M580 Planning guide, Modicon cybersecurity reference manual, etc and all I could find is a mention that password is encrypted in the programm file. Close but not what I need to prove to the customer. Kind regards,

Hi everyone, recently we got a complain about UM password protection in the CP1L. So our user intended to apply password to a CP1L PLC which doesn't have battery installed. They were testing to turning off the PLC for about a week. In the 8th day, they turned it on again and tried to upload the program from the PLC. But after they input the password, and error shows up which indicates whether the password is wrong, or already inputted wrong 5 times in a row. Further checking shows that A99.12 memory was turned on which indicates that wrong password has been inputted 5 times. This was not the actual case since we make sure no one was using the PLC in those 7 days. A99.12 by its nature is not a non-retain memory. Is it possible that during Power On, the memory is unstable that it turned On by itself? I know it can be the case on some areas like DM / WR and also the RTC memory. And since A99.12 is a Read-Only memory, we cannot use P_First_Cycle to ensure it's turned Off as what we used to do with A500.12 (Inhibit Output). Currently I'm testing it by myself, for 3 days had left the PLC Powered Off. If anyone had inputs about this please advice. Thank you

Hi all, I hope one of you kind people could help me: I have an Omron CPM1A CPU where the outputs are damaged. I have a new blank CPU and I would like to transfer the program, however, the UM is read-protected. The backup tool doesn't seem to cater for the CPM1A. Is there any other way the program could be transferred? The customer does not have the program or the password. I do not believe that I am interfering with any intellectual rights here because the OEM are long since departed and all I want to do is transfer the program, not modify it. Many thanks in advance. JG.

Several years ago before I arrived at my company, an integrator came in to do the automation on our system. They used a Controllogix 1756-L61S for the safety portion of the project. Apparently, when they completed the job they did not provide the source code with comments, safety password, etc. for anything and it got ugly between our company and theirs. In other words, they would not provide it if we went back to ask them. Allen Bradley has told us that we can not make any alterations now to the safety logic because we do not have the password that was used to create it. And they said there is no longer a master password that you could use like in previous controllers. Does anybody know of any workarounds for this? Or have heard of anything that might possibly work?

I am using TIA portal to make HMI screens for a KTP700 BASIC HMI panel. I am using the built-in password protection pop-up screen. Is it possible to change the font size of text items on the password protection screen? The text, and the user and password fields are a bit small. I would like to make them bigger. Thanks in advance.
