Hi guys! I need some help with a powerflex 525 multi speed configuring. I know I have to set the P046 parameter for 2 “DigIn TrmBlk” (source) and P047 parameter for 7 which means present frequency. This is the speed reference. I need 3 speed, so I will use Terminal 5 and Terminal 6. When both terminal is zero then 10 Hz, when terminal 5 is 1 but terminal 6 is 0 then 20 Hz and lastly if both terminal is 1 then it will be 30 Hz. I will adjust the speed with the parameters: A410, A411 and A412. Terminal 2 would be the forward and terminal 3 would be the reverse direction. I think these two can be two PLC digital output trough one-one relay. It will be counted the distance by an encoder. When it reach the target the run command will be released and the motor will be stopped with the decel time1. Also I will connect the S1 and S2 for safety. My question is do I have to connect other wires ? Also do I have to remove the jumper between terminal 11 and 1 ? Am I forget something ? Any comment would be highly appreciated. Thanks ahead.

The plc runs for a minute and then the power turns off while the supply voltage is ok. I was sure that it is for the power circuit problem inside the plc. As I had a spare power circuit of cp1h and I checked it had same voltages output (5vdc, 24vdc & 0), I replaced it. Now I cannot connect it with my laptop to change to run operating mode. Could anyone help me?

How to get experience with three phase power
Park.CTRL posted a topic in General Topics - The Lounge
I got denied on a job interview, there might have been a few things but I think not knowing NEC and lack of experience with three phase hurt me. The NEC stuff is for another thread but how do you get experience with three phase? Unless you're in a shop already 3ph can be tricky to find. We talked about it at school in multiple classes but never anything hands on. Yet the descriptions for these entry level jobs all expect you to have a few years in of working with 3ph. It looks like I can make my own three phase from 120VAC with a small VFD. Maybe find some small 3ph motor at the scrap yard, get a new contactor and practice taking measurements/hooking stuff up. I've no problem building a trainer if I get to study up on 3ph and NEC at the same time. Crazy? Any advice?- 4 replies

Hey guys, I'm trying to power about 31 armor blocks in a daisy-chain. I'm running my power off a panel to a junction box and then drawing cables to Taps and dropping a cable to each Armorblock. I'm using 1732E-8x8M12DRs and 1732E-IB16M12Rs, which have 4-pin mini male ports for power. 1. Are there 4-pin mini cables (18AWG) Taps so I can power the entire system using 18AWG cables? 2. Is it safe to gave 22AWG micro cables and M12 taps and draw out a 4-pin mini cable drop to my armorblocks? 3. What in your opinion would be the best way to daisy chain power to these modules? Thanks!

I wonder if there is version of Ethernet Remote IO that can be used with 115VAC supply rather then 24VDC? This would save me a power supply which is really needed for this module only.
