  1. Hello Does someone have a good way to control pressure using PID in cx-programmer? I got two pumps and one PT(4-20mA) Half the year only one pump need`s to run (about 3bar) but in the season (i work in a fabric) two pumps need to be running (about 4bar needed) except in the night. I`m going to use HMI for adjusting the setpoint so there is no need for any clock/date for this to change itself. The question is how to get one of the pumps to shut down when the need for pressure is not so high. And get the pumps to change "main" pump sometimes so one pump is not running all the time. Hope this was understandable
  2. Gentleman… Does Rockwell have any simulation PLC code that mimics an SMC-Flex soft starter? Since we are using those (as well as the E3+ and E300) I would like to develop a model environment for starting of several drives. In a specific case, we may have 3 or 4 drives in a pool of drives in which only a subset must be running at any one time. Development of ladder logic for starting and maintaining those drives running while considering various fault conditions and startup issues would be very helpful in our environment. I would like to be consistent among various areas within our plant that we incorporate pools of drives, from 4 to 2. Having the ability to test in the lab would be very beneficial. Thank you, David
  3. Greetings, We (in the steel industry) have many pumps / motors (large and small). Generally we use soft-starts, cross-line starters (E3+) or even Flex drives. There may be several motors in a pool to start where we need only say 2 of 3 to be running at any one time When it's time to start them, we may need to stagger start them, if one fails, the spare may need to start. My question to the group is... Are there any philosophies out there (and hopefully pseudo or actual code) as to how to start a subset of motors/pumps within a pool of motors and maintain the configuration running ? I appreciate any and all comments. David
