So i ordered this, plugged in and no problems at all, works with the ACPU. However what doesnt work is that there are a couple of functions that ACPU doesnt support. TRD and TWRP

This is using the same rs232 to db25 that works on an old laptop with port. But its plugged into a rs232 to usb adaptor which has drivers installed and is recognised by Windows.

Drivers sourced here https://ftdichip.com/drivers/vcp-drivers/ But, as I say, it appears in Device Manager and Ive changed COM port to COM1, tried different speeds etc.

Yes, it started as COM8, but ive tried changing in device manager various different COM ports.

A long time since purchasing, but tested this today. FTDI drivers install okay, but cannot communicate with the ACPU PLC

The issue with this is that my new laptop does not have an rs232 port

Thanks for thew advice guys, Dont worry I dont intend to add anymore than 1 output coil. the PLC is working perfectly now for my needs.

M8000 is not present on the A1ShCPU PLC. I also am not seemingly able to get a usb to rs232 connector to communicate via the rs232 to db25 connector
