ciprian.patrulescu Posted December 3, 2024 Report Posted December 3, 2024 I got an fx3g 24mr/ds and bought a simple mini usb cable to program it with my laptop. I use gxworks 2 and I cant find my plc. Do I need a more specific cable? If so what is it? I'm new to this topic Quote
colandra Posted December 3, 2024 Report Posted December 3, 2024 You should be ok with the USB cable. Did you change the the connection settings to USB From there you can test the connection as well. In the connection1 you select USB, PLC module, and No Specification. You can then press connection test, and it should indicate it sees the PLC. If this does not work try a different USB cable The software defaults to a RS232 serial connection, most people use the FX-USB-AW cable for mini din communications. See how you go Colandra Quote
Gambit Posted December 4, 2024 Report Posted December 4, 2024 Check in windows if it sees the device as a Mitsubishi when you connect it 1 Quote
ciprian.patrulescu Posted December 4, 2024 Author Report Posted December 4, 2024 Someone told me the programming port is 422 so I should get a usb to 422 adapter to program it, I'm very confused Quote
Gambit Posted December 4, 2024 Report Posted December 4, 2024 Both should work. Can you share your connection setup from GX Works 2 for USB maybe you've made a mistake there ? Quote
