Chris Elston Posted December 15, 2024 Report Posted December 15, 2024 Well I have some good news. I am back as the owner and administrator of MrPLC.com. The website was moved to a new HOST or basically a new server. That was a kinda of a big deal. Lots of things where broken for the past 9 months, so I asked if I could help get things fixed and here we are. Ownership was changed and the website was upgraded and fixed. Right now that website was completely upgraded to the latest software along with a THEME upgrade. You can choose between DARK MODE and LIGHT MODE above with the light bulb icon or the slider switch. Of course there are lots of changes...so if you see anything broken or don't like something, let me know, I'll try to keep things going from here on out. It's been awhile since I "admined" a server so bare with me. 3

IO_Rack Posted December 16, 2024 Report Posted December 16, 2024 Chris, To me, it was obvious that you have an affinity for this site even after you had relinquished control. Thank you for all that you have done for this site and congratulations on getting it back! We can all rest assured that it will be well taken care of. At times when I see an old thread exhumed, it amazes me that we have been browsing these forums for so long. 🧓 1
Chris Elston Posted December 16, 2024 Author Report Posted December 16, 2024 I know, a new member dug up a thread 19 years ago on me last week. That means our knowledge is SAVED. There is so much knowledge and learning here, way better than ChatGTP. LOL. Happy to have control of everything. Of course I will probably need to stick atleast one banner on the website to help pay for hosting fees. But There are some new things I will try to do to make it a place where everyone can learn. 2
DanW Posted December 16, 2024 Report Posted December 16, 2024 What a recovery ! ! I thought the site was in hospice for quite a while there. Nice job on the upgrade. 2

Nice job on the upgrade. Hospice is probably pretty close to TRUTH. I was watching via the bed side for 9 months trying to help.... felt helpless alot.... I think life support was going to be unplugged soon. I think I found the right people at the right time to help save it. 1
Crossbow Posted December 16, 2024 Report Posted December 16, 2024 Thanks for all of your efforts, now let's get this site back to the activity levels we had before the failed ownership! 1

Miss you too @Crossbow!! I mean it's doing okay right now with almost 300 GUESTS online. We just lost a lot of members who posted regular. And of course some people who passed away, like Jay Anthony. I was going to try and do some Blogs and Youtube videos to help point people in the right direction too. If anyone has some ideas to make it more interesting let me know, I'll do my best. I am just happy to save the DATABASE. That's all I really wanted was to save the DATABASE. I didn't want all of our legacy for the past 20 year to be gone. 2

I am completely with you, some really good people and really good information that thankfully is not lost. Jay was a good friend and a great wealth of knowledge. 1
